Focusrite Control is the companion software for Focusrite interfaces such as Scarlett, award-winning Clarett or ClarettUSB compatible for Mac, PC, iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. These interfaces are an industry standard in great audio quality. I was responsible for all UI design from concept stage to final release; translating software requirements into interactive wire-frames that effectively communicate user interaction along with generating all graphic design elements. I also helped with recruiting User Testing candidates, NDA's and carrying out the tests.

Monitor Mix / Device Config Window Buttons

For the user that is routing things directly to their DAW, they don't need to see the Mix options, and it is a distraction from their intended task. It is predicted that this type of user will be common because of the low latencies that the devices this software is bundled with will support.

The top left menu options were rearranged so that the Input Channel Options were combined with the Device Status menu, and given their own page. This left two buttons on the top left which toggle between the tow windows: 'Device Status and Config' and 'Custom Mix'

Adding Channels

In order to cut down on unneeded information on the interface, the channels have been given the ability to be added or removed from the UI as and when the user needs them.
